Questions & Answers from Em.

Why thank you. I was trying to make that blog interesting but the bell rang and i posted it.

How did we do at Tuluksak?
- Well.... the first game we played was against Russian Mission and we lost because 3 girls fouled out! Josephine, myself, and eVonda. We brought only 6 girls so it was 3 against 5 for a little less than a quarter. I swear I only had 3 fouls when they said i had 5. Those cheaters. I really didn't like that tall ref because he seemed so.... something, arrogant, yes! Oh yeah, and this was the game that i got this nasty floor burn on my knee which is hard to heal because the new tissue keeps tearing when i bend my knee. Stings.

We were out of our game. We had only 2 seniors, 2 juniors, and 2 freshmen. And let me tell you- those freshman have a lot to learn, eVonda is a very good athlete though. Well I'll admit that we all have something to learn.

Tuluksak made the schedule so they could have a break. This was the schedule for both Friday and Saturday:
TKT vs. RSM
RSM vs. KLG
KLG vs. TKT
I think that was so unfair! With only 20 minutes in between each game we were exhausted!

The next day Russian Mission got some terrible news. They found out that 2 elders, i think, had passed away so I'm guessing fire, but I don't really know. So because of that they didn't want to play except scrimmage against TKT. Their ball handler wasn't scrimmaging with them and i wonder why. Next time we play them I'm going to stay on her so she don't make points.

After their scrimmage, KLG played against TKT and LOST BY 5 POINTS. That game was fun though, i guess. I was pretty mad because i took the ball in and passed it to Josephine right under the basket. She was just going to shoot and my coach said time out. That haughty ref quickly called time out just as she was going to shoot. Made me raving mad inside, but of course I didn't show it.

HOW MANY HOUSES DID I ATTEND DURING SLAAVIQ?
- Well i don't really know. I have about a gallon ziplock bag full of candy, but some of the houses i went to was the second round and a lot of times they already passed out their candy. I'm estimating approximately 20 houses.

I think i got all your questions.... i don't really know.

My CHRISTMAS/SLAVIQ Break

The candy I received.

My cousin Peter after a long, fun night of slaviqing. I was slaviqing with him too and I also went to school that day, but I didn't sleep as much as him during class.

All the fun started on January 7th. But before January 7th, I stayed home, read books and visited people. Not very exciting in my opinion. It's boring doing the same things everyday: watching TV, hanging out with the same old people, riding around, but on January 7th that all changes.

It starts with church, but I didn't go to church because I had basketball practice at 5 p.m., working hard and sweating, getting into shape for that week's basketball game down in Tuluksak, where the refs are one-sided, well only one of them, and where the people treat us with respect. So I didn't get to Slaviq until Saturday, after we returned. The Tuluksakers were very nice. A woman gave us candy when we went to her store located behind her house. The soda they were selling at the school were outrageous! Because the student store only had diet soda, a girl about my age was selling candy and soda- everything for 2 dollars each! When I realized that everything was 2 dollars I said "See ya." I wasn't going to support their greediness, no matter how much I wanted that soda.

When we came back from Tuluksak, all bruised up and myself with a huge floor burn on my knee, I started Slaviqing because there was only 4 more days left to Slaviq. On Sunday, I wanted to go to Upper to Slaviq but I didn't have a ride and I was lazy to walk up because that night it was blizzardy- the clouds just rolled in and it was very windy making it very chilly so I just stayed in Lower to Slaviq with the green star. I went home after 4 a.m. very tired from standing most of the time and trying to learn how to sing.

The next day- Monday- I caught a ride with my friend with his awesome Summit 700. We went to upper and followed the star until 7:30 a.m. getting more tired by the hour. But my friend was more tired because the night before he stayed up all night, and I can't imagine how he made it through that day. I went home and got ready for school. They were going to Marcus's house next, so instead of going to school I went there because I wanted his delicious moose jerky. It was a long day at school. That's where, instead of doing this assignment, I slept on the floor in the VTC room, snoring away according to Josephine. LOL! This years Slaviq was awesome.
