Connector Role Practice Assignment

The song Disturbia reminds me of my mother when she's telling me things that I don't really want to listen to. Just gibberish, to me- I'm a teenager. There isn't much this song reminds me of. It's a weird song. But I like the Bum bum be-dum bum bum be-dum bum part. The first part below reminds me of her because sometimes she talks to me about other things that cause these effects. And the second part down there reminds me of her telling me to get ready for the world.
It's a thief in the night To come and grab you It can creep up inside you And consume you A disease of the mind It can control you It's too close for comfort

Put on your green lights We're in the city of wonder Ain't gonna play nice Watch out, you might just go under Better think twice Your train of thought will be altered So if you must faulter be wise Your mind is in disturbia It's like the darkness is the light Disturbia Am I scaring you tonight Your mind is in disturbia Ain't used to what you like Disturbia Disturbia

~I Luv Edward Cullen~

The Twilight Saga
Have you ever read the book "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer? If you didn't your missing out on the best book in the world, for girls my age anyways. In this story Bella, the main character, moves in with her dad in a place called Forks, Washington. She notices this boy, who's the most beautifulest person in the world, and has an interest in him because he does things that a nonhuman would do.
I've read this book about 50 times so far and I still love it. I've read the second book, "New Moon", about the same amount of times. And the third book, "Eclipse", I've read just a bit more than the first two.
The fourth book is called "Breaking Dawn" but i haven't read it yet because my mother hasn't gotten it for me from the internet even though she knows how much I love this Saga. This is the best saga I've ever read and i think it will be the best I'm going to read in my lifetime.

They're making a movie of Twilight. Now this picture below is not the guy who's acting Edward. He's the guy who SHOULD have acted Edward because he is handsomer than the guy who's acting in the movie.

VOLLEYBALL 2008

Volleyball starts on Monday. OMG this year is going to be so much fun!! I can't wait till the end of October because were going to the city for 11 days and I miss the city dearly. During that 11 days we're attending 2 tourneys on both the weekends. I just hope that I don't run out of money before we come back home because that would be a bummer, and it sucks when your broke in the city with all those wonderful stuff to buy and the FRESH FRUIT. I can't wait to play out first game against Bethel. Bump, Set, SPIKE! KLGGRIZZLY baby.

LOCAL SCHOOLS MORE POPULOUS THAN EXPECTED

Summary: Megan Holland from ADN reported the article “Local Schools More Populous Than Expected.” There are more people moving into Anchorage, mostly from the bush. They underestimated how many students they would have this year, so they ended up with more students than expected. The student population has gone up to 48,320 and they are expecting more because the army needs more men in some base, so that means more students. The school district in Anchorage is getting over a million more dollars to hire more teachers and more staff. The interesting detail that surprised me was the little time it took for everyone who wanted to move to Anchorage to actually do it.

What do you know about the topic? What do you think of it? Do you agree with the author? What is your opinion? Did you make any connections with the article? Do you know students and/or families that have moved into Anchorage?

A very huge amount of villagers are going city. There are more and more people from the Bush that are moving out. My family and I moved away for one year but we didn’t like it so we came back. I’m wondering what those villagers thought on the first day of school in Anchorage. I can remember my first day in a huge school but that was at Fairbanks, which is smaller. That day was overwhelming. All the classrooms and the swarm of students, and that NASTY food? That was just too much. Yes I agree with the author. I know a couple families that moved to Anchorage. Not that much though.

MY REACTION TO SOMETHING IN THE NEWS

My Reaction To Something In The News

My article is called “Local Pimp Sentenced to 30 years.”
http://www.adn.com/crime/story/495605.html

-What did you learn?
I learned what pimps do to people in Alaska. I didn’t really think about pimps in Alaska and it’s weird. I should expect that from Anchorage but I didn’t think about it.

-What do you think about what the author was saying?
I don’t really think anything about what the author was saying because it’s kind of a story.
-Do you agree? Disagree?
Yes, I agree about the pimp getting 30 years and supervision because he gave pregnant women and girls crack and cocaine or something like that.
-What is your opinion on the subject?
My opinion on this subject is the same as always- why are people stupid enough to get into those kinds of things? I know that’s not really an opinion but I have no other thought of it.

Hey, what's going on? My name is Raven and I am a Junior at George Morgan Sr. High school. I love basketball and volleyball. I love books but I hate the book "Fahrenheit 151" because its a book about people burning books.... no more comment on that. My favorite animal is a cat and my favorite food is pizza. I don't really like the city life but after i graduate I'm going to have to live in the city for collage and fun and some other stuff..... This is my intro.
